Construction in Front of Juniper School
Starting at 9am on Monday, October 3, 2022, the City of Escondido will begin construction on the sidewalks in front of Juniper School. This construction project will be replacing the old, cracking asphalt sidewalks, with new concrete sidewalks. This project is a commitment to our community to provide a safe walk to school for all our students.
While construction is occurring, students will need to have an alternate way both on and off campus. The sidewalk (BLUE) will be torn out starting on Monday, October 3, at 9am, and will be inaccessible to all pedestrians. We ask that students and parents cross the street at the intersection of Juniper Ave and Felicita and walk down the north side of Juniper Ave. Then students will cross Juniper Ave at the crosswalk in front of the school and walk down the stairs and through the parking lot.
There will not be stroller access to campus for this week. If you are walking and need handicap access, please call the office on Monday morning.
For students walking from the south (RED), they will have sidewalk access until the stairs by the crosswalk, where they will walk down the stairs and cross the parking lot to access the campus.
If you are driving to campus to pick up your student, please be aware that cars will not be allowed to stop or park on Juniper Ave while construction is taking place. Please do not line up in the parking lot until 2:15pm.
Juniper staff will be at the front of the school to support our families during these days. We ask for your patience and for you to allow extra time next week for this construction project.
Please call the office at (760) 432-2462 if you have any questions.
