August 21, 2022
Two weeks went by in a flash! All our Juniper Jaguars are highly engaged in their classrooms and well on their way to a successful year!
Please read the updates and reminders for the week of August 22, 2022.
Back to School Night: We will be having our Back to School Night on Wednesday, August 24, 2022, for parents and guardians. Teachers will be sharing classroom routines, homework expectations, behavior plans, and so much more! Please note, childcare will not be available for this evening.
Juniper Preschool, TK, Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd Grade: 5:30-5:55pm
3rd, 4th, and 5th grade: 6:00-6:25pm
Emergency Drills: Each month, our staff and students participate in drills that allow our school community to understand and practice how to respond to different emergencies on campus. These drills have students evacuate from the classrooms and line up with their classes in a designated area on campus. There are three types of drills that we practice during the year.
Types of Drills:
Fire, Earthquake, and Lockdown Drills
We will be having a Fire Drill on Tuesday, August 23, 2022, at 8:30am.
4th and 5th Grade Band: This year, our 4th and 5th grade students will get an opportunity to sign up to learn a musical instrument. Students will attend a Band Assembly on Thursday, August 25, with our district band teachers. Interested students will be bringing home information to their parents! We are excited to get our band started!
iReady Testing: Beginning this week, our students will be taking the iReady Diagnostic Test in Reading and Math. This test allows teachers and parents to look at the skills our students excel in, as well as areas to reinforce in class and at home. Please talk to your student about the importance of trying their best! The results of this test will create a "Learning Path" for your student in their individualized iReady lessons.
