Red Ribbon Week at Juniper Elementary will be held October 27 to 31, promoting a drug-free lifestyle under the theme “Life is a Puzzle, Solve it Drug Free!” This annual campaign, which began in 1986 in honor of DEA Agent Enrique “Kiki” Camarena, encourages students and families to discuss the importance of saying no to drugs and alcohol and making positive life choices. Students will kick off the week by bringing home a puzzle piece with a healthy pledge on Friday, October 24.

Throughout the week, we will celebrate with Spirit Days:

  • Monday: Red Day

  • Tuesday: Tie-Dye Day

  • Wednesday: Wear your favorite sports gear

  • Thursday: Wear a Jaguar shirt

  • Friday: Wear a Halloween costume or orange and black

A flyer with more information will be sent home this week.

Halloween Parade

Please join us for our annual Halloween Parade on October 31st at 8:15am! To ensure our celebration is a safe and happy one, please follow these guidelines:

Costumes:

  • Encourage costumes that reflect positive characters.

  • No violent costumes or weapons are allowed.

  • Masks that block the student’s view when walking should not be worn.

  • No blood or frightening images.

  • Students should be able to change out of their costumes independently, without help.

  • Any costumes that do not follow our guidelines will not be allowed in the parade.

If your child plans to wear a costume, they should come to school already dressed in it. Students are required to change out of their costumes immediately after the parade, so please bring a change of clothes as a normal learning day will continue for all students.

Parents:You are welcome to come on campus to enjoy the parade. The gates will open at 8:00 AM

Candy: Students are not permitted to bring candy to school following Halloween

We look forward to seeing everyone at the parade and celebrating together!
