Parent Workshop
Our Vista Hill Promote Presentation will be on Sept. 15 at 8:15am in the VPA. This parent workshop is on setting up routines to help your student have a successful school year.
Vista Hill Parent Group
Our Vista Hill Parent Group will begin on Wednesday, September 18th, at 8:30 AM. This session will run for 10 consecutive weeks. The first meeting will be held in VPA. In these sessions, parents will learn valuable strategies to better understand their children and strengthen family unity. Please note that these sessions will be conducted in Spanish. If you are interested in English Parent Group classes, please contact Vanessa Hernandez at 760-566-5036.
Clothing Donation
Our school nurse is in need of extra clothing for students who may need a change of clothes during the day. At this time, we only need boys’ shorts and pants in sizes 2T–5T. If you are able to donate, please bring items to the nurse’s office. These donations will be used for students who have accidents or unexpected spills.
Bike & Scooter Safety
This is just a friendly reminder, for everyone's safety, please remind your child to wear a helmet and follow traffic rules when riding bikes or scooters to school. Let’s work together to keep our school community safe!
EUSD App
All guardians must update the EUSD App to continue receiving important messages from teachers. Older versions of the app will no longer send or receive messages. To update, go to your device’s App Store, search for the EUSD App, and click “Update.” If needed, you can also reinstall the app. Guardians may always access messages through the web version at thrillshare.com.
New this year, guardians will receive a text message (SMS) each time a teacher sends a message. The text will include a link that takes you directly to thrillshare.com. Please make sure your phone number is correct in Thrillshare. If it needs to be updated, call the school office.
If you are having trouble logging in or receiving new messages, you may still be using an older version of the app or your phone number may not be correct in Thrillshare. Updating your app and verifying your phone number should resolve these issues.
PTA Drive
There’s still time to join Juniper PTA and enjoy some special perks! For just $10 per family, you’ll receive one free birthday shoutout, one candy at Movie Night, and one wristband for the Fall Festival. Our PTA Drive ends September 19, join today and be part of the fun!
EXPLORE Enrichment
EXPLORE after school enrichment classes begin this week! Please note that some classes may start on different days, so be sure to double-check the schedule for your child’s class. If you’re unsure which class your child is enrolled in, reach out to your child’s teacher or the school office for assistance.
Picture Day
Picture Day is September 17! All students will have their photo taken for the yearbook. Families should have received an order form if they are interested in purchasing photo packages. Please be sure your child comes to school on time and dressed for the occasion. These photos are a wonderful way to capture memories of your child’s school year, don’t miss it!
ELAC Meeting
We will be holding an ELAC (English Language Learners Advisory Committee) Meeting on September 17th, at 5:30 PM via Zoom. ELAC is a school-level committee made up of parents and staff, working together to advise school officials on English learner programs and services. We encourage all families of English learners to join us for this important meeting, where we will discuss ways to support and enhance the learning experience for our students. PTA Movie Night
Join us on September 19 at 6:30 PM for a fun evening watching Zootopia! A presale flyer was sent home last week to pre-order a movie treat bag. Please turn in your presale flyer by September 16 to guarantee your treats.
5th Grade Family Day at Lunch
Families of 5th graders are invited to join their students for Family Day at Lunch on September 19! Lunch will be from 12:45–1:05 PM. A flyer with details was sent home last week. Important Note: Ms. Sanvictores’ 5th grade class will celebrate Family Day at Lunch on a different date.
