Holiday Sing-a-Long - Get ready to kick off the holiday season with our annual Holiday Sing-a-Long! Join us on Wednesday, Dec. 18, at 8:30 AM as we celebrate the season with festive songs and community spirit. Don’t miss this joyful event—we can’t wait to see you there and share the holiday cheer through song!

Red & Green Day - Get ready to show your holiday spirit! On Dec. 18, it’s ASB Spirit Day, and we’re celebrating with Red & Green Day. Wear your favorite red or green clothing. Let’s fill the school with festive colors and holiday cheer!

Holiday Cookies with Cottingham - Join us for a festive and sweet event—Holiday Cookies with Cottingham on Wednesday, Dec. 18 at 9:30 AM, right after our Sing-a-Long! It’s a wonderful opportunity to share in the holiday spirit, enjoy some delicious cookies, and connect with our school community. We look forward to seeing you there!

Earthquake Drill - We will be conducting an earthquake drill on Thursday, December 19, at 8:45am. This drill is an important safety practice to ensure that all students and staff are prepared in the event of an actual earthquake. Students will practice "Drop, Cover, and Hold On," taking cover under desks and holding on until the drill is complete. We will then safely evacuate to designated areas. This practice ensures that students and staff are prepared in case of an actual earthquake.

Kindergarten Gingerbread Workshop - Our Kindergarten students will be having their Gingerbread Workshop! Please check the date, time, and teachers below. Please be sure to stop by the office to sign in before attending. We look forward to seeing you there and enjoying this festive activity with our little ones!

Every Jaguar Counts Rally - Join us for the Every Jaguar Counts Rally on Friday, Dec. 20! We’ll be having fun with a limbo contest and dancing the Cupid Shuffle to celebrate our school spirit. It’s sure to be a lively and exciting event! We can’t wait to see you there and enjoy the festivities together!

Minimum Day - Dec. 20 is a Minimum Day for TK-5th grade, and students will be dismissed at 12:10 PM. Please plan accordingly for early pick-up. State Preschool students will be dismissed at their regular time. Make sure to arrange for pick-up in advance, as we’ll be kicking off winter break right after this fun, festive day!

Winter Break - Winter Break will be from Dec. 23 to Jan. 6. There will be no school during this time. Classes will resume on Tuesday, Jan. 7. Enjoy the break, and we look forward to seeing everyone back in the new year!

PTA Penguin Patch Holiday Shop - The PTA's Penguin Patch Holiday Shop starts on Monday! Please remember to have your child bring their Money Envelope with the shopping list filled out. Make sure they hand it to their teacher to hold until their class’s shopping day. We’re looking forward to a fun and festive shopping experience for all our students!

School of Choice 25/26 - The School of Choice application window is now open! If you wish to apply for your child to attend a school other than their school of residence for the 2025-2026 school year, you must complete a School of Choice application. A separate application is required for each student, and a random, unbiased lottery will determine placements. Applications will NOT be accepted after the January 31, 2025 deadline.
