Juniper School Jaguar Logo

I hope you had a nice and relaxing weekend and were able to support Juniper through our Red Robin fundraiser. Your participation makes a big difference, and we truly appreciate all the support for our school community. If you were unable to attend your child's parent conference, please don't forget to reach out to your child’s teacher to reschedule. We want to ensure that every family has the opportunity to connect. As we step into a new week, I wanted to take a moment to highlight some events coming up at Juniper.

Clothing Donations - Our school nurse is in need of extra clothing for students who may need a change of clothes during the day. If you have any gently used clothes that no longer fit your child, we would greatly appreciate your donations. Please bring them to the nurse’s office. These items will be used for students who have accidents or unexpected spills.

Safe Walk to School Month - October is Safe Walk to School Month, and we encourage all of our students to walk or bike to school safely. Walking or biking promotes physical activity, reduces traffic congestion, and helps build community connections. If your child is biking, please make sure they wear a properly fitted helmet for safety. Remind your child to use crosswalks, walk with friends, and follow all traffic rules to ensure they arrive at school safely. Thank you for helping us keep our students safe!

Red Ribbon Week - Each year, we celebrate Red Ribbon Week across our nation. This week is dedicated to discussing the importance of staying healthy and ways we can take care of our bodies. At school, we’ll engage students with age-appropriate lessons on making healthy choices. There will also be several fun activities throughout the week, including spirit days! A flyer with details on the spirit days and a pledge card will be sent home on October 18. Please check your child's backpack.

Ghost Grams - Ghost Grams will be on sale soon for $1 each! Students can start turning in money on Tuesday. A flyer with instructions on how to purchase was sent home with your child, so please be sure to check their backpack for it. Ghost Grams will be delivered to students on Halloween! Don’t miss out on the fun!

Halloween Parade - Please join us for our annual Halloween Parade on October 31st at 8:30am! To ensure our celebration is a safe and happy one, please follow these guidelines:

Costumes:

  • Encourage costumes that reflect positive characters.

  • No violent costumes or weapons are allowed.

  • Masks that block the student’s view when walking should not be worn.

  • No blood or frightening images.

  • Students should be able to change out of their costumes independently, without help.

  • Any costumes that do not follow our guidelines will not be allowed in the parade.

If your child plans to wear a costume, they should come to school already dressed in it. Student’s are required to change out of their costumes immediately after the parade, so please bring a change of clothes as a normal learning day will continue for all students.

Parents: You are welcome to come on campus to enjoy the parade. The gates will open at 8:00 AM

Candy: Students are not permitted to bring candy to school following Halloween

We look forward to seeing everyone at the parade and celebrating together!
