Family Day at Lunch – Get ready for a delightful treat! We're thrilled to announce the 3rd Grade Family Day at Lunch for Mrs. Kirkbride and Mr. Martinez class, will be April 24th, from 12:20 – 12:40. This event offers a wonderful opportunity for you to enjoy quality time with your child during lunch. Feel free to bring outside food for a picnic-style lunch. Additionally, the Jaguar Cafe will be open, serving up delicious options. Please remember that the Jaguar Cafe operates on a cash-only basis, and they cannot accept bills over $10. Parent Guidelines containing further details about the event has been sent home with your child. We're eagerly looking forward to seeing you there for a memorable family lunch experience!
CAASPP Testing – CAASPP testing for 3rd through 5th grade students will begin Tuesday April 23 and go through May 8. This is an important assessment that helps us understand your child's progress and ensure they receive the support they need to succeed academically. To minimize disruptions during testing, we kindly ask that you schedule any appointments for your child in the afternoon. This will help ensure that students can complete their tests without interruptions and focus on demonstrating their knowledge to the best of their abilities. Your cooperation in this matter is greatly appreciated, as it will help create an optimal testing environment for all students.
Admin Professionals’ Day – Administrative Professionals’ Day is on April 24. This special day is our chance to express our gratitude and appreciation for the hard work, dedication, and support provided by our administrative professionals. From managing schedules and coordinating meetings to handling countless tasks behind the scenes, their contributions are invaluable to our team's success. Please join me in celebrating Administrative Professionals' Day by acknowledging the outstanding efforts of our administrative staff. Whether it's a heartfelt thank-you note, a small token of appreciation, or simply taking the time to express your gratitude in person, your recognition will mean the world to them.
Lockdown Drill –We will be conducting a lockdown drill on April 22 at 10:45. During a lockdown drill, our primary goal is to practice achieving maximum safety in the event of a threat. This means that our campus will be locked, and all students and staff will remain inside the buildings for the duration of the drill. While we understand that drills can be unsettling, they are an essential part of our commitment to maintaining a safe and secure environment for everyone in our community.

Spirit Day – Get ready to turn things upside down and inside out because Opposite Day is coming to town! We're thrilled to announce that our next Spirit Day on April 26th will be none other than Opposite Day. What does this mean? It means you have the chance to let your creativity shine by dressing in outfits that are the complete opposite of your usual style! Are you usually a jeans-and-t-shirt kind of person? Try dressing up in your fanciest attire! Love wearing your hair up? Let it down for the day! The possibilities are endless, and the more creative, the better! Let's flip the script, shake things up, and have a blast together as we embrace the spirit of Opposite Day!
Friday Assembly – Join us for our Friday morning assembly on April 26 at 8am. We will recognize and celebrate our exceptional Students of the Month!
Coffee with Cottingham – Join us after the morning assembly for "Coffee with Cottingham" on April 26th! This is an opportunity for parents to connect, chat, and enjoy a cup of coffee while we do some Arts & Crafts. We look forward to seeing you there!
Chocolate Fundraiser – Money for the chocolate fundraiser is due this Friday, April 26th. Please ensure it's turned in on time. If any chocolates remain unsold, parents are responsible for covering the difference. Thank you for your cooperation!
Upcoming Events:
Field Trip – Our Kindergartener’s will be going on a field trip April 30th. Please make sure your child arrives to school on time, and make sure your child wear comfortable walking shoes.
Talent Show – Talent show tryouts will be held on May 2nd at 12:30 PM! If your child is trying out, please make sure they come prepared for their act. Tryouts will be held in the VPA, and students will have the opportunity to perform in front of a panel of judges. We're looking forward to seeing all the amazing talent our students have to offer!
