Daylight Saving – Just a quick heads up! Daylight Saving Time will begin on March 10th. Don't forget to set your clocks forward by one hour. This means we'll be gaining more daylight and stepping into brighter evenings. While the extra sunshine is something to look forward to, it's always wise to adjust your schedules accordingly. Enjoy the longer days and the approaching spring season!

Spring Pictures – Spring Picture Day is scheduled for March 11th. Our professional photographers will be on-site to capture the warmth and joy of the season in your child's portraits. Choose colorful and weather-appropriate outfits to add a touch of spring vibes to your child's photo. Order forms were already sent home, please check your child's backpack.

4th Grade Family day at Lunch – Get ready for a special treat! We're excited to announce the 4th Grade Family Day at Lunch on March 13th, from 12:20 PM to 12:40 PM. This is a wonderful opportunity for you to spend quality time with your child during lunch. Feel free to bring outside food for a picnic-style lunch. Jaguar Cafe will be open, offering delicious options. Please note that it is a cash-only facility, and bills over $10 cannot be accepted. Parent Guidelines were sent home with your child, providing more details about the event. We're looking forward to seeing you there for a delightful family lunch experience!

Winter Musical Performance – Join us for an enchanting evening filled with music, and talent of our Winter Musical on March 13, at 6pm. Our students have been working hard to bring you a spectacular performance, and we can't wait to see you there to support them!

Panda Express – It's time for a flavorful fundraiser! We're excited to announce a special event at Panda Express on March 14th, from 9:30 am to 10:00 pm. Join us at the Panda Express on Felicita for a day of delicious food in support for Juniper. Your participation will make a significant impact, helping Juniper continue providing enriching experiences for our students.

Earthquake Drill – As part of our commitment to safety, we will be conducting an Earthquake Drill on March 15th at 2:10 pm. The essential components of earthquake drills are classroom discussions, demonstrations, and exercises designed to help students learn and practice WHERE to seek shelter and HOW to protect their heads and bodies from objects (e.g., debris from ceilings, light fixtures, and shattered glass).

ASB – Get ready to unleash the Irish vibes! We're excited to declare March 15th as our St. Patrick's Green Day for a blast of school spirit! Show off your St. Patrick's spirit by decking yourself out in all shades of green. Whether it's a funky hat, crazy socks, or a full-on green ensemble!

Field Trip – Our 3rd and 4th graders will be going on a field trip this week to the Science Fleet Center. 4th grade will be going on March 11 and 3rd grade will be going on March 13. Please make sure your child arrives to school on time, and make sure your child wear comfortable walking shoes.

Summer ProgramsLearning doesn’t take a break for summer, and EUSD Expanded Learning is excited to offer a variety of no-cost summer education programs for current Transitional Kindergartners through 7th-graders to keep students engaged. Keep an eye on your inbox, as parents and guardians on Monday will receive by email full summer program details and a customized interest form for each child. Parents and guardians will choose an appropriate program for their child and submit their online interest forms by March 18 and be notified of enrollment or waitlist status the week of April 2. This year, we are offering opportunities for up to seven weeks of academic and enrichment programs. Summer program participants will engage in a variety of activities designed to give students a fun, interactive, and safe summer experience. Space is limited, and enrollment will be conducted by lottery in the event that there are more applicants than spaces available. Priority enrollment is given to students who are identified as socio-economically disadvantaged, including English learners, foster youth, or experiencing housing insecurity.

Summer School

Medication – Your child's safety is our top priority, and we want to remind you of a policy regarding medications at our school. No medication, including over-the-counter (OTC) medications, is permitted to be kept in your child's backpack. This policy is in place to ensure the utmost safety for all students. If your child requires any form of medication during school hours, please coordinate with the school nurse to complete the necessary forms and discuss proper procedures. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in adhering to this important policy. If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to contact the school nurse.
