Food Event Guidelines – Food items will no longer be permitted in the classroom as a part of the celebration of an individual student’s birthday at any EUSD school without prior approval. A FER (Food Event Request) form is required for all food events on EUSD property. Parents should communicate with the child’s teacher if interested in doing a FER. Food products will be approved by the Nutrition Services department. Please note that the form must be done 2 weeks before the event.

Halloween Parade – Our annual Halloween Parade will be Tuesday Oct. 31 at 8:15 am. To ensure our Halloween celebration is a safe and happy one, please adhere to the following:

Costumes:

  • Encourage costumes that reflect positive characters.
  • Violent costumes or weapons are NOT allowed.
  • Masks that block the student’s view when walking should not be worn.
  • No blood or frightening images.
  • Students should be able to change out of their costumes independently, without help.
  • Any costumes that do not follow our costume guidelines will not be allowed in the parade.

Students should wear their costumes to school and are required to change out of their costumes immediately after the parade. Please bring a change of clothes as a normal learning day will continue for all students.
