Juniper Families, I hope you had a great weekend with your families! We are looking forward to seeing everyone this week! Please take a look at this week’s events.

Family Day at Lunch – Our TK and two of our preschool classes (Mrs. Armenta & Mrs. Edwards), will have Family Day at Lunch on Wednesday, Oct. 18th. Parents and guardians will be able to join their students for lunch during their lunch break. You can purchase a delicious lunch from our Jaguar Cafe, or you can bring an outside meal. The parent guideline information will be sent home today please check your child’s backpack.

TK’s lunch is from 11:15-11:35

Ghost Grams – Ghost Grams go on Sale today, 10/16 for $1. Students were sent home with a flyer last Friday on how to purchase. Please check your child’s backpack for the flyer.

Lockdown Drill – We will be having a lockdown drill on Oct. 19th at 9:50. A lockdown drill is when we practice to achieve maximum safety in the event of a threat. Our campus will be locked and students will be inside during the drill.

Bicycle, Skateboard, and Scooter Safety – Juniper families, our top priority is student safety. If your child is coming to school on a bicycle, skateboard, or scooter, a helmet must be worn. The district’s policy on bicycle safety is the following: EUSD requests that parents or guardians of children who walk or ride their bike to school plan a safe route to school with their children. The route shall not involve shortcuts through private property and all students are expected to exhibit good behavior. Furthermore, a student may be fined for not wearing a properly fitted and fastened helmet.

Fall Festival – Juniper’s Fall Festival is Oct. 26. The Presale flyer for the fall festival was sent home last week. The last day to turn in money for the presale is October 20. If you need a flyer please stop by the office.

Red Ribbon Week – Red Ribbon Week is held each year from October 23 to October 31. It's the largest drug-abuse prevention campaign in the country, targeting K-12 students. Schools participate in a variety of ways, a flyer with more information will be sent home this week.
