Low-cost computers: Is your family in need of a low-cost desktop or laptop computer? The San Diego County Office of Education Computers to SD Kids are hosting a Smart Tools for Schools event from 9 to 11:30 a.m. noon Saturday, September 9, at the San Diego County Office of Education, 6401 Linda Vista Road, San Diego; enter on Via Las Cumbres. Follow this link to submit an application and schedule an appointment. The nonprofit organization charges an administrative fee of $100 for a desktop system or $150 for a laptop. Attendance is meaningful: Every school day counts when it comes to student success! September is recognized as Attendance Awareness Month, and we appreciate your support and encouragement for consistent student attendance. Every student is a valued member of our school community. Daily and on-time school attendance not only helps support our students' connection to school and learning, it is a key indicator of future success. Absences are understandable when a student is sick. However, missing 10 percent or just two days a month can cause a child to fall behind academically or feel disconnected from school. When students miss school, they are missed by their classmates and the caring adults on campus. Our district has numerous resources to support families. Please do not hesitate to contact your school site if you are experiencing any challenges to daily school attendance for your child.
A Step Beyond – If your student is interested dance, A Step Beyond will be having auditions for students in 3rd and 4th grade. To qualify student must receive free/reduced lunch and have transportation. There will be a parent meeting on Zoom Thursday September 14 at 6pm. If you have any questions please call 760-670-3250.

Job Fair – Wishing to become a substitute teacher? EUSD will be having a “One-Stop Shop” Job Fair Monday September 18, from 8:30-12:30. Family Day at Lunch – The return of Family Day at Lunch is back! On Wednesday, Sept. 13th, our 5th grade, parents/guardians will be able to join their students for lunch during their lunch break. You can purchase a delicious lunch from our Jaguar Cafe, or you can bring an outside meal. The parent guideline information will be sent home today.
BBQ & Bingo Night – Join us for Juniper’s BBQ & Bingo Night on September 14. Come join us for a fun game night and some yummy food! The preorder form was sent home last week. Prices of food and Bingo cards will increase on the day of the event. Take advantage of the preorder prices and return your form with the money by September 12 to save your spot! Flyer was sent home last week with your child.
ASB – Friday September 15 is Camouflage Day. Show your school spirit!
Vista Hill – You are invited to the Vista Hill Parenting Classes. Incredible Years helps parents better understand their child, helping to improve family relationships. The meetings will run for 10 consecutive Tuesdays starting September 12th at 12:00-2:00 pm in Room 21. Please call Vanessa Hernandez at 760-566-5036 to enroll. This class will be given in Spanish.
Juniper Spirit Wear – If you still haven’t purchased your Juniper Spirit Wear, please place your orders by Friday 9/15, to guarantee receiving the size you want. The form to purchase Spirit Wear is in the office.
