Thank you for working with the Juniper staff this week during arrival and dismissal. By last Friday, all our students knew the expectations and the dismissal process ran safely for everyone. Please remember that parents should not be parking or walking through the parking lot. All students and parents that are walking to school need to walk along Juniper St and come down the sidewalk by the kindergarten building. Make sure to let your child know if they will be walking home or being picked up in a car. This will support which gate they exit.
This is what’s happening at Juniper this week!
Crazy Hair Day – Friday August 25 is Crazy Hair Day. Children can come with their hair styled in a silly, wacky, or creative manner. We suggest colorful hair accessories, temporary hair dye, or other fun hair accessories! Show off your Juniper Spirit with crazy hair.
Friday Morning Assembly – Once a month we have our Friday morning assembly. We acknowledge Student of the Month, student attendance and we promote school spirit. Our first assembly of the 23-24 school year will be this Friday.
Fire Drill – We will be having a fire drill on Friday August 25 at 9:45. During a fire drill, we practice how to evacuate a building in the event of a fire.
Back to School – Next week is Back to School Night at Juniper Elementary. Our Preschool, TK, Kinder, 1st, and 2nd grade families will meet teachers in the classroom at 5:35 pm. Our 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade families will meet the teachers at 5 pm. All teachers and staff look forward to sharing school information with all our families. See you on Aug. 30!
